Dr. Matthew Riddle is Professor of Medicine and Head of the Section of Diabetes in the Division of Endocrinology/Diabetes/Clinical Nutrition at Oregon Health Sciences University. His training was at Yale University (BA) and Harvard Medical School (MD), Rush-Presbyterian Medical Center (Residency and clinical Endocrine fellowship), and the University of Washington (research Endocrine fellowship). He is on the Editorial Boards of Diabetes Care and Diabetes Technology & Therapeutics and the American Diabetes Association’s Scientific and Medical Meeting Oversight Committee. His academic interests center on the treatment of type 2 diabetes, and he has over 25 years experience in clinical practice and clinical research in both
the inpatient and ambulatory settings. He has written over 80 articles, many in the area of combination drug therapy. The clinical research group at Oregon Health Sciences University
includes three additional diabetes-oriented endocrinologists
(Andrew Ahmann, MD, Diane Karl, MD, and Anthony McCall, MD,PhD), and three experienced study coordinators.
